Veteran PostNet Franchise Owner to Open Second NYC Location
The hallmark of any successful franchise system can be measured by whether existing owners would choose to make the investment in the brand again. By signing on to open a second PostNet location in The Bronx, longtime franchise owner Calvin Thomas is proving the success of the PostNet business model.
As a retired police officer who served the 48th precinct in The Bronx for 20 years, Calvin was an ideal fit for the leading marketing services franchise. PostNet prides itself on being a small business community’s local partner for marketing, shipping and printing solutions. By opening a second center in the community he served, Calvin continues helping his local community thrive through his second career as PostNet franchise owner.
Calvin’s new center, located at 1451 West Avenue directly between the longstanding Macy’s location and the bustling Metropolitan Avenue, is scheduled to open later this year. Folks may have already gotten a glimpse of Calvin, when his first PostNet center was featured on Season 4 of the popular CBS reality series, Undercover Boss.
“Demand from the local business community for PostNet’s personalized services and solutions continues to build, and I look forward to serving even more customers with the opening of my second PostNet,” Calvin says. “I hope to grow PostNet to become a household name in the Bronx with the addition of even more centers in the years ahead.”
PostNet is the local partner small businesses need to thrive
By opening a second location in the heart of The Bronx, Calvin is giving the hundreds of neighboring small businesses a leg-up. No other brand can match the range of services that PostNet has available: graphic design, full-service digital printing, direct mail, signage, document binding and finishing, and ancillary business services, like private mailbox rental and more. Unlike traditional postal and mailbox franchises, PostNet has strategic partnerships with all of the major logistics companies — UPS, FedEx, U.S. Postal Service and DHL — offering a multi-carrier selection coupled with in-center professional packaging services to meet the individual shipping needs of its customers. PostNet franchisees have a physical storefront in their communities and an Online Print Center, offering customers the benefits of online transactions and face-to-face service.
PostNet is way out in front of our competitors in the rapidly growing marketing services industry — the Titanic-sized brands aren’t nimble, local or authentic enough to be the partner small business owners depend on. The industry has taken notice. In 2016, PostNet has been named a best-bet investment by Franchise Direct, Franchise Gator and Entrepreneur magazine.
“Each PostNet location is owned and operated by a local business owner, which means our franchisees understand firsthand the day-to-day challenges small businesses face and are personally invested in the local partnerships they serve,” says Steve Greenbaum, co-founder and CEO of PostNet. “PostNet franchise owners are local business partners for the local business community — people who truly care about their customers’ success by delivering the right solutions to meet their printing, shipping and marketing needs.”
PostNet announces aggressive expansion into East Coast markets
Calvin’s signing on to open a second PostNet franchise in The Bronx is part of the brand’s overall growth strategy of opening 24 new franchise locations throughout the U.S. in 2016. Currently, there are six PostNet franchise locations open in New York, including a new center in Suffern, which opened in June. PostNet intends to open an additional 10 to 12 locations across the state over the next five years.
PostNet is actively targeting markets throughout the East Coast, and has prime locations available in major cities and bustling small communities alike.
“Calvin’s expansion demonstrates the strong demand for our customized, business-enhancing services, and the New York City metropolitan area is primed for future growth,” Steve says.
