Why PostNet Is Great For Veterans

Honorably discharged veterans have the proven abilities needed to become successful PostNet franchise owners

Leadership skills, perseverance, dedication, commitment to service, sense of teamwork and mastery of systems are all traits that make veterans outstanding franchise owners. PostNet is proud to have dozens of successful veterans in our franchise system, all of whom run their businesses in much the same way they served their country — with integrity.

PostNet is part of the International Franchise Association’s VetFran program, which encourages franchise systems to offer discounts to honorably discharged veterans who want to art a business. PostNet offers veterans a 35 percent discount on our franchise fee — a savings of more than $12,000.

“Being heavily involved with the IFA, I’ve met many veterans outside PostNet who have enjoyed great success as franchisees,” says Brian Spindel, President and COO of PostNet. “Making the transition from a military career to the regular workforce can be tough, especially in a recovering economy, and I’m proud that the franchise industry is reaching out to let them know about all the opportunities that are available. When it comes to helping veterans get started in new careers, I’m happy to have a ton of competition, but I’m just as proud that PostNet is in a position to help veterans get a chance to live the American Dream.”

One of our successful veteran owners is Ken Rodes, who owns a PostNet franchise in Davidson, North Carolina. Ken served in the military for five years, spending four years in West Germany and rising to the rank of Captain, where he was stationed at the politically sensitive border of Czechoslovakia in 1989, when the Berlin Wall came down.

When asked how his military service has shaped the success of his PostNet franchise, Ken answers matter-of-factly: “In my military experience and my experience as a PostNet franchisee, finding solutions is not optional.”

“Our primary job is to solve problems for our customers. The only way you’ll go out of business is when people run out of problems. We are entirely focused on an exceptional level of customer service, and that separates us from our competitors. When our customers walk out our doors, we make sure that they are confident that they have been taken care of. That makes our customers very loyal. This business is challenging, but you’re always going to be learning — which keeps you alert as a business owner.”

Are you a veteran interested in owning a PostNet franchise?

Dozens of veterans own PostNet design, printing and shipping franchises, and PostNet is eager to have more veterans join our team. Our franchise system offers veterans an excellent new career, and we work hard to honor their service by working hard to offer them the support they need to succeed.

PostNet is a low-cost investment opportunity with a proven business model that offers high potential returns. The total investment necessary to begin operating a PostNet franchise ranges from $174,767 to $217,275. PostNet is a substantially more affordable investment than several of our competitors, and our rapid build-out time allows our franchise owners to potentially quicken their return on investment. Once a site is selected, a new PostNet can be open in six to eight weeks. Most importantly, our innovative Online Print Center platform allows new franchise owners to begin selling PostNet services and earning a profit from the moment an address is selected for a new PostNet brick-and-mortar store — potentially quickening the return on investment even further.
