Who Does PostNet Compete Against?

PostNet finds a sweet spot in the market by targeting small businesses

PostNet franchise owners are the local partners for print, marketing and shipping solutions for millions of small businesses across the nation. Our franchise owners offer their small business customers guidance, direction, problem-solving and consultation to ensure that their marketing initiatives will be most effective — all while building a meaningful relationship centered around trust and exceptional service.

“PostNet is unique in the franchising space because we really don’t have any direct competitors,” says Steve Greenbaum, CEO and co-founder of PostNet. “While there are many brands that we compete with indirectly, those that offer shipping services or printing services, no other brand can match the range of services that we offer. We have nearly three decades of experience in the shipping industry, as well as expertise in all types of professional printing solutions across the spectrum of the industry, including graphic design. When you combine that with the consultative approach that our franchise owners give to their clients, we are now a leading brand in the marketing services industry.”

Here are some of the things that set our franchise apart:

Convenience: As franchisees build relationships with customers, they also enjoy robust support to help serve those customers. For instance, each brick-and-mortar PostNet center can activate its own online print shop that customers can use to place orders 24/7, allowing your sales to continue while you sleep. You can then print the jobs yourself or have them fulfilled offsite.

Consultative, Personalized Service: Each PostNet location is owned and operated by a local business owner, which means our franchise owners understand first-hand the day-to-day challenges small business owners face and are personally invested in the local partnerships they have.  We are a local business partner that truly cares about our customer’s success by delivering the right solutions that meet their printing, shipping and marketing needs.

Freedom of Choice for Customers: Unlike a traditional postal or mailbox franchise, PostNet offers a multi-carrier selection. Every PostNet center is a UPS, FedEx and DHL-authorized ship center. PostNet locations can serve customers who are loyal to all three of the major brands, and they can also offer a complete line of postal services. PostNet is supported on the UPS, FedEx and DHL locator systems, and these companies send their customers to PostNet centers, whereas the UPS Store, for example, is only listed on the UPS store locator online and through their 800 number. Being a multi-carrier outlet allows PostNet to offer freedom of choice for customers.

World-Class Leadership and Support: Our senior management team and founders are extremely well-known and recognized worldwide for their involvement and leadership in the franchise industry. Our CEO, Steve Greenbaum, served as Chair of the International Franchise Association and is looked upon as a leading authority on growing and supporting a successful franchise system.

PostNet franchise owners are in business to help other businesses succeed

PostNet offers extensive training and resources that help you become the problem solver for businesses in your community. But our biggest advantage isn’t the services we offer. It’s the culture we have as a business and the commitment we have to our customers. We are passionate about helping small businesses succeed.

IMG_1267-2-(2)Our consultative approach to service ensures that whatever our customers’ business challenges may be, we provide the personalized solutions they deserve. And, we never consider ourselves successful, until they consider themselves successful.

“Our primary job is to solve problems for our customers,” says Ken Rodes, owner of a PostNet franchise in Davidson, North Carolina. “The only way you’ll go out of business is when people run out of problems. We are entirely focused on an exceptional level of customer service, and that separates us from our competitors. When our customers walk out our doors, we make sure that they are confident that they have been taken care of. That makes our customers very loyal. This business is challenging, but you’re always going to be learning — which keeps you alert as a business owner.”

The time to bring PostNet to your community is now

PostNet is a low-cost investment opportunity with a proven business model that offers high potential returns. The total investment necessary to begin operation of a PostNet franchise ranges from $169,767 to $212,275. PostNet is a substantially more affordable investment than several of our competitors, and our rapid build-out time allows our franchise owners to potentially quicken their return on investment. Once a site is selected, a new PostNet can be open in six to eight weeks. Most importantly, our innovative Online Print Center platform allows new franchise owners to begin selling PostNet services and earning a profit from the moment an address is selected for a new PostNet brick-and-mortar store — potentially quickening the return on investment even further.
