The PostNet Story

How PostNet became a leading design, printing and shipping franchise

Today’s PostNet is the result of more than two decades of innovation and evolution driven by our exceptional leadership team.

The company today is far different from the pack-and-ship business that launched in 1992. Today’s PostNet franchisees are focused on the potentially lucrative and rapidly expanding niche of small business marketing support. This includes a wide array of printing, graphic design, direct mail and other marketing solutions.

With 660 locations in 9 countries, PostNet has never been easier to run and to scale than it is today, resulting in a wave of industry awards praising our proven business model as a best-bet investment. In 2016, PostNet garnered accolades from Franchise Direct, Franchise Gator and Entrepreneur magazine, who has included PostNet on their prestigious Franchise 500 list every single year we’ve been in business. In 2017, PostNet became part of the global family of MBE Worldwide*.  Combined, the two companies have an extensive reach of nearly 2,300 locations in 33 countries.

*MBE Worldwide is the owner of the Mail Boxes Etc. brand and business concept for the entire world except US and Canada.

“There has never been a more exciting time to franchise with PostNet,” says Brian Spindel, President, COO and Co-Founder of PostNet. “In our our nearly 25 years as a franchisor, PostNet has never been more competitive than we are now. We’ve successfully evolved our business model to meet the relevant needs of consumers in the new economy, becoming a true local partner to small businesses. At the end of the day, we are in business to help other businesses succeed. The reality is, most small business owners have a lot on their plate, and that’s where we come in. Our franchisees provide a full range of back-office solutions — from design to distribution — that support their business and marketing objectives.”

PostNet continues to innovate while staying true to its core values

Why are we thriving after almost 25 years in business? Our visionary leadership team works tirelessly, year after year, to deliver a business model that keeps PostNet franchise owners profitable in their centers. Our franchisees also work diligently to build strong, long-lasting relationships with their customers at a local level.

Most recently, PostNet made the significant investment in a state-of-the-art Online Print Center, a dynamic online print production and fulfillment platform that makes PostNet centers even more accessible to customers. This new tool provides customers with 24/7/365 access to the same high-quality products and services they have come to expect from visiting PostNet’s centers in person, making ordering, re-ordering and managing their print projects even more convenient. For the first time, PostNet customers can choose whether they want our face-to-face, consultative service or if they simply just want to fulfill a pressing order on their own time with the click of a mouse. For new franchise owners, our Online Print Center is especially important — creating the ability to begin selling our services to their small business community before the doors of their new PostNet brick-and-mortar location are even open.

PostNet is guided by visionary leadership

What truly makes PostNet unique in the franchising world is the fact that PostNet’s leadership continues to innovate our proven business model, which has helped PostNet succeed through good and bad economic climates. Our leadership works to ensure that our rapidly growing network has a voice in new initiatives, receives exceptional ongoing support,  and delivers new ways to simplify and improve the business model.

“I am certain that we will be the leading brand in the marketing services space,” says Sharon Foster, co-owner of a PostNet franchise in Charleston, South Carolina. “Brian (Spindel, President and COO of PostNet) has always kept us on the cutting edge. As a franchise owner, we’re really blessed to have his leadership because it is quite rare that a president of any major brand was there at the beginning. He is pushing the brand forward, but at the same time, he gives the network of franchise owners a voice in the initiatives that the executive team rolls out. He’s the real deal.”
