Meet David Sparks: VP of Franchise Development with the PostNet Franchise
The newest member of PostNet’s executive team opens up about why he is excited to join the nation’s premier marketing services franchise
Since David Sparks entered the franchise industry in 2001, he has been on a mission to empower entrepreneurs to realize their dreams of small business ownership.
David has accepted a new role as VP of Franchise Development with PostNet after an impeccable career that has taken him around the world growing brands with missions as diverse as delivering affordable early education for children to bringing affordable healthcare to seniors.
In his new role, David plans to help grow the premier marketing services franchise from nearly 260 locations across the United States to 500 in the coming years, as well as expand the brand’s international growth beyond the 10 countries where PostNet currently prospers.
“I have watched PostNet with awe and excitement for the past several years as it evolved from a humble pack-and-ship business into a cutting-edge marketing services franchise,” David says. “As a resident of Denver, I got to know Steve (Greenbaum, CEO and co-founder of PostNet) quite well. Steve is someone who is well-known in the franchise industry and the business community in general for his visionary leadership. He works tirelessly to drive profitability to our franchise owners and to keep the momentum behind the brand going strong. I couldn’t be more excited to have him as my mentor and to work to grow such a worthy brand.”
PostNet’s culture makes it special
While PostNet has evolved its business model to become the local partner for printing and marketing solutions for the 28 million small businesses across the nation, PostNet has always remained passionately committed to providing a business model guided by six core values: care for the whole, be engaged, attitude + execution = performance, champion change, own it and lead with clarity and purpose.
“At PostNet, we believe that anyone who turns their dream of entrepreneurship into reality is doing it for the right reasons,” David says. “PostNet provides a business model that allows people to become proven leaders, job creators, and make a meaningful life for their families and a difference in their small business communities. Our business model promotes a high quality of life, giving our franchise owners the ability to spend time with their families on nights and weekends. At its very core, PostNet is a brand that exemplifies the American Dream and the American success story.”
David isn’t alone in praising the PostNet business model: our proven business model has been named a best-bet investment by Franchise Direct, Franchise Gator and Entrepreneur magazine — and 2016 is barely past the halfway mark. The demand for new PostNet centers is bigger than ever before, and PostNet has become the go-to resource for millions of small businesses at home and abroad.
“We’ve been in business for over 20 years,” David says. “Marketing services isn’t a fad — it’s where small businesses are turning to help them grow. If you turn on the news in this election year, we hear every day how important the growth of small businesses is to the American economy; they are the engine driving the country forward. PostNet is the only brand capable of serving those millions of small business owners by providing them with the tools and expertise to compete for customers.”
A bright future for a worthy brand
After kicking off the year with exciting center openings in California, West Virginia, Connecticut, Georgia, Texas and New York, PostNet’s outlook is strong. Throughout the year, PostNet will continue executing its strategic growth plan, expanding the brand into untapped and existing markets domestically and overseas.
After only 90 days in his role, David has already signed four new franchise agreements, and four new entrepreneurs will get to fulfill their dreams of small business ownership with the PostNet franchise. David is pleased to report that PostNet is attracting millennial entrepreneurs, who like the brand for its forward-thinking business model and commitment to innovation, as well as baby boomer entrepreneurs who are drawn to PostNet because of their ability to network, lead a team and become meaningful members of their communities.
“This is a brand that is for the creative young professional and seasoned executive alike,” David says. “The fact that our demographics are so diverse is part of the proof that we’re onto something truly special in the franchise industry. Our business model enables people to run their businesses as the CEOs of their own company, to network in their communities, to use their creative skill set to provide first-rate solutions to their customers. PostNet is a brand that is making a real difference, and I am excited for the journey.”
