PostNet Franchises Offer New Tool to Help Small Businesses Master Mobile Payments
Will that be cash, check or PostNet? New service turns PostNet business services franchise into payment processing dynamo for small businesses
PostNet Neighborhood Business Centers are now an even more valuable partner for small businesses. This week, we introduced a new service, PostNet Mobile Payments, that allows PostNet business customers to accept credit or debit card payments on mobile devices. The service is similar to the popular Square mobile processing system but offers more security and lower fees.
PostNet Mobile Payments, offered through Franchise Payments Network (FPN), is compatible with Apple’s iPhone and most Android devices. It’s available now at 18 locations and will be rolled out to all locations in the next four months. The service allows PostNet clients to solve a common small business problem — how to affordably accept and manage credit and debit card payments — while generating a new stream of recurring revenue from a portion of the processing fees.
PostNet Mobile Payments is ideal for suppliers, service providers or any other companies that do business outside of an office. It’s an ideal supplement to the printing, marketing and design services we offer to help small businesses grow; it lets us help our clients even more and enhances PostNet’s already solid reputation as a one-stop business solutions provider.
PostNet is the only franchise focused on meeting the needs of America’s growing ranks of entrepreneurs. Millions of Americans have started their own businesses over the last several years — Global Entrepreneurship Model reports that in 2012, 4.2 percent of Americans owned or managed a business that was between three and 42 months old.
These new business owners are usually great at their core skills but often need guidance to market and grow their companies. PostNet helps them develop their brand, develop professional flyers, posters, signs and other collateral, and build their online presences — and now we’ve delivered a way for them to sell to more clients and receive payments more quickly.
“PostNet pioneered the concept of a neighborhood small-business center and we continue to embrace new technology to fill the needs of small businesses,” says PostNet CEO Steve Greenbaum. “We’ve partnered with Franchise Payments Network because they understand the specific needs of franchises and offer the most cost-effective and secure mobile payment system for our customers.”
