PostNet Franchise Hosts First Stop of IFA @OurFranchise Tour

PostNet franchise hosts event celebrating the positive effect franchising has on economies across the nation

As the nation’s leading marketing services franchise, PostNet is passionately committed to the success of small businesses. PostNet franchise owners are their small business communities’ local partners for printing, marketing and shipping solutions, so it is fitting that the International Franchise Association (IFA) kicked off its @OurFranchise Campaign at PostNet headquarters in Denver, Colorado, earlier this week.

The event, hosted by PostNet CEO and Co-Founder Steve Greenbaum and featuring IFA President and CEO Robert Cresanti, captured the stories of how local franchise owners and their employees are supporting their communities — creating jobs and business ownership opportunities at their franchise locations.

“In neighborhoods across the country, franchising brings together brands, local owners, employees and the local community,” Robert tells the Denver audience. “Americans from all walks of life turn to franchising to find first jobs, start new businesses and learn skills that lead to successful careers. The @OurFranchise campaign captures the real, positive impact of the franchise model as told by local owners in their own voices, and it speaks to the level of economic contribution franchise owners continue to have to the American economy.”

Franchising contributes $994 billion to the U.S. economy and supports 9.1 million jobs, including 484,000 in Colorado, according to the IFA. Robert led a roundtable discussion focused on educating the public, policymakers and the media about the franchise business model and its impact in Colorado and across the country. Robert also called on elected officials to recognize the importance of franchising during the upcoming election season and encouraged franchising supporters to make their voices heard when choosing candidates at the polls.

“Franchise businesses are the cornerstone of our local economy,” Steve said to the crowd. “From healthcare and food to automotive and pet care, franchise businesses create jobs, support communities and provide people with a vehicle to pursue the American Dream of owning their own business.”

PostNet helps small businesses grow and prosper

There are 28 million small businesses in the U.S., and their spending is part of what generates the $380 billion annually that goes to printing, shipping and online marketing. PostNet is the only brand capable of serving those millions of small business owners by providing them with the tools and expertise to compete for customers and grow their businesses. The industry has taken notice. In 2016, PostNet has been named a best-bet investment by Franchise Direct, Franchise Gator and Entrepreneur magazine.

PostNet Franchise a marketing services franchise

Our full menu of services includes graphic design, full-service digital printing, direct mail, signage, document binding and finishing, and ancillary business services, like private mailbox rental and more. Unlike traditional postal and mailbox franchises, PostNet has strategic partnerships with all of the major logistics companies — UPS, FedEx, U.S. Postal Service and DHL — offering a multi-carrier selection coupled with in-center professional packaging services to meet the individual shipping needs of its customers. PostNet franchisees have a physical storefront in their communities and an Online Print Center, offering customers the benefits of online transactions and face-to-face service.

“We really are our small business community’s local partner for marketing services solutions,” says Sharon Foster, co-owner of a marketing services franchise in Charleston, South Carolina, who was named with her husband as PostNet Franchisee of the Year for 2016. “Businesses of all types come to us for help, advice and high-quality work. They are usually amazed at what we can do for them. We do menus, fliers, you name it. We even help our small business owners with their marketing budgets; we get very involved, we establish relationships with our customers and keep track of their successes. If they thrive, so do we. It might sound like common sense, but as a small business owner, the best way for us to advertise is to make sure that every customer leaves us with a smile. If they do, not only will they come back, but they will also tell their friends about us.”

“The role of a franchisor comes with significant responsibility,” Steve says. “People come into this organization every day from around the world. Our job is to help them be successful and ensure that their experience and relationships with the PostNet franchise family add value on all levels. As founder and CEO and the person who drives the strategic vision, making sure that our franchisees succeed is of paramount importance to me.
