PostNet Franchise Fosters Another Record Year of Small Business Growth
The nation’s leading printing and shipping franchise is the local partner small business owners rely on to grow, expand and win new customers
Now is a good time to be a small business owner. According to a new study released by Insureon, the leading small business insurance agency, 82% of small business owners anticipate a year of hiring, new investments and continued growth in the New Year.
The study is entitled, “2017 Small Business Outlook,” and the agency surveyed more than 1,000 small business owners to gauge the health of American small business overall. The survey finds that the state of small business in America, often and rightly referred to as the engine of the American economy, has never been healthier or more optimistic, as small business owners are committed to making the investments that fuel growth.
To put that in perspective, this is what Insureon reports are the 2017 plans for the small business owners surveyed:
- 58 percent: buying new equipment or furniture;
- 34 percent: selling a new product;
- 33 percent: hiring an employee;
- 30 percent: offering a new service;
- 23 percent: moving to a new location. *
This amount of projected small business growth is terrific news for PostNet franchise owners, who are in business to help their local small business community with design, printing and shipping solutions that facilitate growth, win new customers and increase profitability for their customers.
“We really are our small business community’s local partner for marketing services solutions,” says Sharon Foster, co-owner of a PostNet franchise in Charleston, South Carolina. “Businesses of all types come to us for help, advice and high-quality work. They are usually amazed at what we can do for them. We do menus, flyers, you name it. We even help our small business owners with their marketing budgets — we get very involved, we establish relationships with our customers and keep track of their successes. If they thrive, so do we. It might sound like common sense, but as a small business owner, the best way for us to advertise is to make sure that every customer leaves us with a smile. If they do, not only will they come back, but they will also tell their friends about us.”
The level of services that PostNet offers is a key differentiator between PostNet and other brands in both the printing and shipping sectors, but as Sharon mentioned above, PostNet goes far beyond a menu of services. PostNet franchise owners are actively engaged in their communities. They take on leadership roles in their local Chambers of Commerce, join boards of local nonprofits and participate in community functions, charities and events.
This is exactly how John Lorenzo, PostNet’s youngest franchise owner, operates his business in Sicklerville, New Jersey. While his staff is taking care of the walk-in traffic at his center and completing the orders for his customers, John is out pounding the pavement, networking within his community to drive new business to his PostNet location.
“I put into practice what I continue to this day; I hustle nonstop,” John says. “I didn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. I knew that my PostNet location was the best resource small businesses had for marketing services in the area. Slowly but surely, our reputation grew. I run my business like a marketing firm. I don’t sell a product; I sell solutions. Our consultative approach to service ensures that whatever our customer’s business challenges may be, we provide the personalized solutions they deserve. When a customer comes in with a new campaign, we start by asking them about the end goal; what are they looking to achieve. We do research, we ask questions and we follow up after the campaign has implemented. We want to make sure the customer has a big return on their investment; we are truly personally invested in our customers’ success.”
As American small business owners seek to expand in 2017, PostNet also continues an aggressive franchise growth strategy for the New Year with planned openings throughout the United States and abroad
